I trust Dr. Flaser with all of my GI problems, he tells it like it is and I appreciate that. I have been a RN for 35 years and we talk in medical terminology to try to diagnose my GI issues, he works with me, does Celiac Marker labs every six months and makes appropriate referrals as necessary. If I have a new GI issue he is on top of it, ordering an upper GI endoscopy immediately. I would refer him to anyone I know who may be having GI issues.

I was referred to this doctor for help understanding the stage of my fatty liver diagnosis. After ordering a blood test, his only explanation was, “Your blood one shows low grade fat and scarring in your liver.” I was left completely confused no clarification of what stage I’m in, no context, and certainly no compassion.
Even during my appointment, it was clear he was indifferent. This may be a routine diagnosis for him, but it isn’t for me. I needed support, guidance, and at the very least, a clear explanation. I won’t be returning, though I doubt that matters to him. A little empathy goes a long way and unfortunately, it was completely missing here.
