The colonoscopy procedure was successful! Yay!
The preparation with the 5-day instructions for taking dulcolux, and Miralax with gatorade however was a challenge, including the stipulation for a low fiber diet. Seems my system did not clear completely. Suggest returning to the previous RX mix which I recall as straightforward had “clear” results.

This was my 3rd time having my colonoscopy done with Dr. Schultz. However, this experience at the Maryland Center for Digestive Health was unacceptable. I was in the staging area too long prior to my procedure. When the anesthesiologist arrived, she began touching me and checking things without announcing what she was doing. Also, in the procedure room, she began roughly switching out the I V and callously administered the anesthesia without announcing or informing me that she was putting me under. I know the colonoscopies are routine for the medical staff, but as a patient I am paying for a service to be performed and this service was unacceptable. My prior experiences were great, but something was lost this day with my procedure. The receptionist, the nurse who installed the I V in the prep room and Dr. Jackson (who visited in the prep room and went over some things) were outstanding. Hopefully, this feedback will sensitize Dr. Schultz's team to humanize their service by communicating better and respecting the clients paying for the service. By the way, I do not want that anesthesiologist servicing me again in the future. Thanks!

Karen was wonderful! It was my first time at a GI office, and it could not have been better. Karen took the time to thoroughly evaluate any concerns, and provided ample knowledge to ensure I get on the right track. Karen really cares about her patients and I feel comfortable and at ease in her care. I’ve already recommended her to family.
