Lauren is a certified registered nurse practitioner at Anne Arundel Gastroenterology Associates, P.A. 

Lauren graduated from The George Washington University Family Nurse Practitioner Program in 2021 and was inducted into the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International. Prior to 2021, Lauren spent 13 years practicing as a nurse in skilled nursing facilities and hospital units, including General Surgery, Transplant, and Ortho/Trauma. Most recently, Lauren held various clinical leadership roles on the Trauma and General Surgery unit at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. While there, she took care of acutely ill patients, many of whom required gastrointestinal surgery or intervention.

Lauren is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in nursing practice from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. She is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, The Human Rights Campaign, The National Society of Leadership and Success, and the Gay & Lesbian Medical Association. Lauren is most interested in gastrointestinal disease management and prevention and the promotion of health equity.

From her time living in Florida, Lauren became an avid scuba diver, marine animal enthusiast, and a hockey fanatic. Since moving to Maryland in 2017, she now dabbles in snowboarding and sailing on the Chesapeake. When not visiting family and friends in Florida, Lauren’s favorite activity is spending time with her family exploring the culinary pockets of Baltimore and attending birthday parties thrown by her neighbors for their dogs.
