by Natalie (SU)
In 1932 Dr. Burrill B. Crohn first described the condition which bears his name. Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), of the gastrointestinal tract. It can affect any part of the GI tract from mouth to anus. Most commonly it is found at the end of the small bowel (ileum) and beginning of the colon.
